We're looking for a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant in Tavistock, Ontario to enhance the lives of Long Term Care residents. Your support in treatment programs will help residents achieve their health goals starting March 3rd, 2026.
As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you'll work 28 hours per week, assisting in exercise programs and documenting resident progress. This role involves direct interaction with residents to improve their mobility and overall quality of life, following instructions from the Physiotherapist closely.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead group exercises and personal therapy sessions
• Guide residents towards their treatment goals
• Document sessions and manage treatment records
• Aid residents in secure walking and transfers
• Monitor health changes and communicate findings
Requirements:
• Graduate in Physiotherapy Assistant program or equivalent
• Effective multi-tasking and communication skills
• Experience in Long Term Care settings preferred
• Current police verification for Vulnerable Sector
• Valid TB Test and/or Chest X-Ray required
