Lead the Recreation Department as a Therapeutic Recreation Manager at West Coast Seniors in Nanaimo, BC. This full-time temporary role focuses on holistic resident assessments and program development.
In this role, you will report to the General Manager and oversee all aspects of the Recreation Department. As a key member of the management team, you will lead Recreation staff and budget management while ensuring high-quality services for residents. Your work will foster an engaging and respectful workplace for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise Recreation staff and volunteers effectively
• Develop and manage the Recreation Department budget
• Assess resident needs and implement tailored recreation services
• Facilitate community outreach to promote the facility
• Attend management meetings to contribute to strategic planning
Requirements:
• Graduation from a recognized Therapeutic Recreation Program
• Minimum two years management experience in geriatrics
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Valid class 4 BC Driver’s License
• Strong communication and supervisory skills
