MAESTRO seeks a Platform Security and Compliance Specialist based in Canada to secure clinical research data. In this role, you'll handle access controls, data governance, and compliance strategy crucial to your team's mission.
This hands-on engineer position focuses on the robust implementation of security measures and evidence management in compliance-heavy environments. You'll create comprehensive monitoring and reporting processes to demonstrate data security during audits for regulatory bodies. Your expertise will be essential in enhancing the security framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and enforce data access protocols across the platform
• Maintain detailed and defensible audit trails for changes
• Oversee encryption, data residency and retention policies




• Ensure compliance readiness for PIPEDA and ISO 27001
• Facilitate security testing and ongoing risk assessments
Requirements:
• 4+ years of experience in application/platform security
• Robust foundation in encryption and audit logging
• Familiarity with frameworks such as GDPR and NIST
• Proven experience in operationalizing compliance requirements
• Nice to have: background in healthcare or life sciences
