Injection Mold Set-Up Technician Orangeville, ON $32.50-$36.00/hour + Performance Bonus + Full Perks Full-Time | Permanent | Day Shift Are you an experienced Injection Mold Set-Up Technician looking for a stable day shift opportunity with a well-established Canadian manufacturer? We''re looking for a hands-on technician who can independently perform complete mold changes, troubleshoot processing issues, and help keep production running efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
What You''ll Be Doing Machine Setups & Changeovers Perform complete mold changes on injection molding machines.
Install, remove, and secure molds and associated tooling.
Set up machines according to production schedules and process requirements.
Start up machines and verify production readiness.
Optimize processing parameters to achieve quality and production targets.
Production Support Monitor machine performance and product quality.
Troubleshoot molding defects and processing issues.
Respond to machine alarms and minimize production downtime.
Work closely with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve cycle times and production efficiency.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain consistent processing standards across production runs.
Maintenance & Quality Perform basic mechanical adjustments and preventative maintenance.
Complete setup documentation and record process parameters.
Follow all Health & Safety procedures,
including Lockout/Tagout.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
What We''re Looking For Required Qualifications Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident (work permits are not eligible for this position).
Minimum 5 years of hands-on injection mold setup experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to independently perform complete mold changes.
Strong knowledge of injection molding processes and machine setup.
Experience troubleshooting molding defects and process issues.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read production work orders and setup documentation.
Food packaging, consumer packaging, or plastic container manufacturing.
Technical education in Plastics Processing or a related manufacturing discipline.
