The Prospect We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Manager to oversee the operations of two closed door pharmacy locations that focus on providing specialty pharmaceutical products and services.
The locations are NOT retail pharmacies and patient counselling is generally conducted using virtual platforms.
This is a full time, MATERNITY LEAVE contract position that will commence January 2024, with an engagement period of 12-18 months.

Unlike retail pharmacies, this role as a Pharmacy Manager ensures Monday to Friday daytime hours.
You will be the Designated Manager for one location, while also managing a Remote Dispensing location in a clinic a setting.
In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Interacting with patients, healthcare professionals and other staff to offer expert advice,
address inquiries and ensure exceptional customer service to patients that require accessibility to high-cost drugs, medications that may not be readily accessible, or complex specialty medications Monitoring the Cold-Chain pharmaceutical operations.
Troubleshooting any discrepancies and compiling corrective action plans.
Collaborating with physicians and healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy and monitoring of potential drug interactions Overseeing quality assurance to ensure adherence to established pharmacy protocols, quality control standards and regulatory requirements to ensure the highest level of patient safety and service Online/over the phone medication counseling when required Managing a small team; coaching, mentoring and providing direction Dealing with an escalated issues Please note, this job posting is intended to outline the general responsibilities and qualifications for the Pharmacy Manager.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support the pharmacy operations and patient care.
Experience 3+ years experience as a practicing pharmacist A valid license as a Pharmacist in good standing with the college of Pharmacy in Ontario Must be a Part A licensed pharmacist Education Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPhm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) A licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacy
