Your New Role
Our client is seeking a Finance Transformation Analyst to join a growing Controllership team.
Reporting to a Senior Manager, this newly created position will play a key role in driving finance transformation initiatives across the organization.
This is a unique opportunity for a finance or accounting professional who enjoys working with technology, data analytics, automation, and process improvement.
Approximately 90% of the role will focus on transformation initiatives, project coordination, automation, reporting enhancement, and stakeholder engagement, rather than traditional accounting activities.
Key responsibilities include: Identifying opportunities to automate and improve finance processes and workflows Partnering with stakeholders across finance to understand challenges and inefficiencies Developing project plans and supporting transformation initiatives from concept through implementation Coordinating testing, training, and adoption of new processes and technologies Building and maintaining dashboards, reporting solutions, and analytics tools Analyzing and validating data from multiple systems to support decision-making Improving reporting processes, controls,
and operational efficiencies Supporting financial close, reporting reviews, and audit-related requirements when required Working closely with senior finance leaders on strategic transformation projects This position can be based in either Mississauga or Scarborough and follows a hybrid work model, with employees working in the office Monday through Wednesday and remotely on Thursdays and Fridays.
What You''ll Need to Succeed
To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally possess: 2-4 years of accounting, finance, reporting, analytics, or related experience A solid understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting concepts A genuine interest in automation, artificial intelligence, analytics, and process improvement Experience with tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Power Automate, Copilot, SQL, or similar platforms would be considered a robust asset Strongmunication and stakeholder management skills The ability to influence change and collaborate with senior leaders Excellent organizational skills and project coordination abilities A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation Please note that while an accounting or finance foundation is important, this role is not designed as a traditional accounting development position and will not provide the breadth of experience required for CPA practical experience requirements.
