Inc Introduction We are seeking a senior engineer for a contract engagement with a large-scale Canadian enterprise.

This role sits at the intersection of on-premises platform engineering and Azure cloud operations, with a primary mandate to drive lifecycle upgrades and support a strategic migration to Azure public cloud.

Required Skills & Qualifications 5 years designing, managing, and implementing vSphere and Horizon View environments 5 years deploying, managing, and optimizing Azure cloud resources 2 years hands-on administration of NSX environments Proven experience with NSX 4.1.x upgrades and VCF upgrade readiness Experience with Client-to-Azure Public Cloud migration projects Solid understanding of NSX networking, security policies, and distributed firewall concepts Deep knowledge of vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN Strong troubleshooting skills across virtualization, storage, and networking layers Ability to operate independently in complex, large-scale enterprise environments Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and operational standards Prior work experience at the client or in the client''s industry Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience upgrading TKG clusters and NSX Security Intelligence to vDefend SSP Hands-on experience with Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.x in production environments VCF 9.x and/or NSX certifications Knowledge of Azure Landing Zone architectures Experience with SAP RISE environments Familiarity with Aria for Networks and Logs Day-to-Day Responsibilities Plan and execute NSX upgrades from 4.1.x to the supported NSX version in support of VCF upgrade readiness Upgrade TKG clusters and NSX Security Intelligence to the vDefend SSP platform Upgrade traditional environments to VCF 9.x in production Own VCF lifecycle management including architecture, deployment, operations, and governance Configure and manage micro-segmentation policies and distributed firewall rules Plan and execute NSX migrations; ensure security policy compliance Design and implement vSphere architecture aligned to enterprise business requirements Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain ESXi hosts and vCenter Server Perform capacity planning, scalability analysis, and VM/host troubleshooting Integrate vSphere with backup and disaster recovery solutions Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Horizon infrastructure including Connection Servers and DEM Manage desktop pools, user entitlements, and access policies Monitor VDI performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement DR/backup strategies Design and implement Azure cloud architecture for enterprise workloads Deploy and manage Azure resources including VMs, Storage, Networking, and Entra ID/RBAC Lead Client-to-Azure migration strategy and execution Automate infrastructure deployments using Azure Dev

Ops, ARM templates, or Terraform Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Design virtual networks, VPNs, and Express
