JOB DESCRIPTION Veterinary Assistant Location: Newmarket, Ontario Department: Emergency Employment Type: Full-time Role Type: Existing Compensation:$ to $ per hour, depending on experience We are seeking an experienced full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our Emergency team.
The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.
In this position, you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
Assisting the Emergency team with patient triages and exams Assisting the Emergency team with diagnostics (radiography/CT) Assisting with Emergency surgeries - patient prep and prep of the surgical suite Some reception duties, including answering the phones and checking in/billing out emergency clients Providing compassionate care and comfort for hospitalized pets.
