Unit Summary McMaster Pharmacy is an accredited pharmacy located in the main lobby of the McMaster site.

The workload resembles that of a rapid-paced community operation with a heavy emphasis on patient counseling, extemporaneous compounding, investigational drug dispensing and aseptic work.

Position Summary The Pharmacy Technician/Assistant processes prescriptions for the pharmacist to check before dispensing to the patient, assists the pharmacist by conducting technical functions in the pharmacy, communicates with patients regarding their prescription needs and refers them to the pharmacist when necessary.

Schedule Work Hoursdays, weekends, holidays Qualifications 1.

Minimum 2 years prior retail pharmacy experience 2.

Hospital pharmacy experience an asset 3.

Proficiency in the Kroll Computer System Candidates must have completed the following requirements related to registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists prior to the application to this posting.
