Valve Technician (Assembly & Test): We are looking for a Valve Technician to join our Brantford team! As our Valve Technician, you will be responsible for picking, assembling, testing, painting, packaging and shipping pressure relief valves to meet safety, production, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with machine shop experience to progress within a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment with focus on quality and teamwork! Consistently demonstrates a knowledge of how to work safely by following the OHSA and company health and safety policies and procedures.
Support the lean initiatives, goals and projects as directed by their supervisor.
Complete the work of the picking, assembly, test, painting, flatting, and packaging of parts and valves to meet all safety and quality requirements and assembly schedules.
Comply with company policies, safety rules and good housekeeping, taking appropriate actions when necessary.
Perform assembly and test operations in accordance with written procedures and work instructions.
Training and certification as a valve tester will be an advanced function for this position.
Train and qualify as ASME B&PV; Section IX welder.
What You Bring 2+ years of experience in either assembly or manufacturing environment Previous experience welding is strongly preferred Ability to read measuring equipment 0-6 calipers 0-1 micrometers Ability to read and follow: blueprints standard work instructions Ability to assemble small components with lightweight hand tools Ability to read job documentation and Engineering drawings Fast pace and high volume while on your feet throughout the day Lifting, pushing, pulling 50lbs High School or GED required Self-motivated, demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to work well in a team setting #L1-KG1
