The City of Terrace is looking for up to two dedicated individuals to fill the Roads Maintenance II positions. Key elements of this job include operating various heavy machinery and performing maintenance tasks vital to road integrity and safety. Successful candidates will showcase their ability to handle close proximity to utility services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Daily operation of graders, loaders, and dump trucks
• Inspect vehicles for safety and maintenance needs
• Conduct hands-on tasks like drainage maintenance and street signage




• Prepare daily operational logs and assist in staff training
• Manage emergency and standby assignments as required
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade twelve and related experience
• Solid mechanical skills and effective communication
• Valid Class 3 B.C. Driver's Licence with air brakes
• First Aid training and experience with municipal infrastructure
• Physical fitness for demanding labor tasks
