Join the Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO) as an Engagement Coordinator focusing on Indigenous Wellness Initiatives. This full-time role emphasizes collaboration with Indigenous youth, families, and community partners in enhancing mental health services.
As a key member of the YWHO Provincial Office at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), the Engagement Coordinator oversees the Indigenous Wellness Initiatives portfolio. You will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders, including youth, families, and Knowledge Keepers, to support Indigenous youth across Ontario. This role focuses on implementing effective engagement strategies and co-creating services based on community needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead outreach and recruitment for Indigenous advisory groups
• Facilitate meetings and consultations with diverse partners
• Coach staff in youth and family engagement
• Oversee youth and family engagement projects
• Support the integration of lived experience into decision-making
Requirements:
• Knowledge of Indigenous youth and family engagement
• Experience working with First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities
• Commitment to equity and inclusivity principles
• Robust organizational and communication skills
• Bilingualism in French/English is an asset
