Role Overview

LensCrafters, part of EssilorLuxottica, is a global leader in design, manufacture and distribution of vision care products. The Associate Optometrist role serves in a Part‑Time capacity at Store # LensCrafters.

General Function

The Associate Optometrist is a leader in the organization, delivering the brand promise and experience. Responsibilities include ensuring patients receive high‑quality Optometric care, performing clinical protocols, maximizing practice growth, and serving as a brand ambassador.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

- Ensure executional excellence and winning results in partnership with the MOD and store team.
- Demonstrate commitment to exceed results through robust competency in KPI management and high accountability.
- Ensure brand is known as the leading optical provider within the community.
- Operate as a successful stakeholder with all leaders within the organization and local market.
- Place the patient/customer first and deliver excellent service.
- Strive to exceed expectations on all KPIs.
- Convey a commitment to providing unsurpassed Patient Service by ensuring staff performs the following Service Process steps:
- Address all patients/customers' visual lifestyle needs.
- Make eyewear recommendations based on patients/customers’ needs.
- Explain each step of the eye exam and listen carefully to patients/customers.
- Utilize available tools and visual aids to summarize and ensure patients understand each aspect of their vision, eye health, and overall well‑being.
- Communicate effectively with patients about the need for annual eye exams and ensure all patients are scheduled in TAB for their next eye exam.
- Conduct all services in accordance with protocol and accepted standards of care.

- Ensure all patients receive an accurate diagnosis and appropriate recommendations.
- Establish a positive doctor/patient relationship.
- Utilize and leverage effectively all technology to deliver unsurpassed patient/customer experiences.




- Ensure office systems are maintained.
- Maintain state licensure in good standing and practice to the full scope of that license, responsible for maintaining Continuing Education requirements.
- Provide effective training and guidance to team members using company‑provided programs.
- Deliver clear, motivating and constructive feedback to all associates in a timely manner.
- Create a positive culture linked to the corporate culture, identify what motivates each individual, and direct conversations and actions appropriately.
- Encourage associate decision‑making at the level closest to the patient.
- Maximize partnerships through leadership, participation and involvement.
- Takes pride in the appearance of the office.
- Maintain a safe working environment for all associates and patients.
- Lead by example.

Basic Qualifications

- Doctor of Optometry
- Commitment to quality patient care
- Knowledge of current Optometric theory and technology
- Strong communicator and listener
- Problem‑solving ability
- Solid organization skills

Benefits & Compensation

Employee pay is determined by geographic location, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. Additional compensation may include a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, a first‑class total rewards package, health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation and various employee discounts.
