As a member of Global Entity Reporting team, you will be responsible for the full accounting cycle for a set of corporate legal and consolidated entities totaling up to $21B in assets. You will handle month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, including fair value mark‑to‑market, corporate budgeting, quarterly and annual financial statements, external audits, cash management, technical accounting analysis, and support for debenture issuances and prospectus reviews.Position SummaryOxford is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst with strong financial accounting and analytical skills to join our growing Global Entity Reporting team based in Toronto.Financial ReportingPreparation of complex consolidated annual and quarterly financial statements in accordance with IFRS for lender compliance purposes; Coordination and management of interim and year‑end external audits, including preparation of supporting schedules; Support of debenture issuances with financial and non‑financial analysis; Lead resolution ofcomplex technical accounting issues, including acquisitions/dispositions and implementation of new accounting standards; Full cycle accounting for portfolio of legal entities including monthly journal entries, cash and equity reconciliations, investment property/debt continuities, intercompany account settlements and validation of foreign currency translations; Preparation ofnon‑consolidated statutory financial statements and working papers for various legal entities; Preparation ofstepmemos, solvency tests and other documentation necessary to support income distributions,
return of capital and equity contributions for various legal entities; Ad‑hoc analyses asrequired by management and internal and external stakeholders.Financial Planning & AnalysisReview and analysis of annual operating plans and quarterly reforecasts of our various consolidated structures; Identify, analyze and explain variances in financial statements including revenue, expenses and capital assets; Prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure sufficient funding to meet operational and development requirements; Assist with management reporting for the Oxford enterprise related to the assigned portfolio of entities and assets.Process Innovation and ControlsParticipation in projects focused on continuous improvement and recommendations for efficiencies in day‑to‑day responsibilities; Ensure compliance with Oxford’s processes and controls; Liaise with other departments including Capital Markets, Treasury, Tax and Legal.To Succeed in This RoleCompleted a university degree and obtained a professional accounting designation; Minimum two years experience in a related capacity (financial reporting/analysis or audit) with real‑estate exposure and a proven record of strong performance; Experience workingwith international organisations in a multi‑currency environment; Experienced with complex organisational structures and consolidations; Analytical with the ability to produce analysis with appropriate style and language to support conclusions; High attentionto detail and strong sense of ownership; Strong writtenand verbal communication skills; Strong processmanagement and improvement skills with a mindset for continuous improvement; Collaborative sharing of knowledge within a team setting; Driven to achieve results and continuously strive to deliver high performance through critical thinking; Excel in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with demonstrated time‑management and organisational skills and ability to prioritise responsibilities; Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; exposure to Workiva considered an asset; Exposure to ERP & consolidation systems, preferably JD Edwards, Yardi and Hyperion Financial Management.Salary RangeThe expected salary range for this position is $72,000.00 – $108,000.00 per year, prorated based on the term of the contract.You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short‑term Incentive plan and our Long‑term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans – details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.Benefits and PurposeOxford’s purpose is to strengthen economies and communities through real estate.
