- Wage: $23.00 to $35.00 / hour (To be negotiated)

- Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 30 hours / week

- Benefit: 4 percent of total wages for vacation pay

Job Requirements

- Languages: English
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in commercial food preparation

Job Duties

- Present recent cooking methods and equipment to the kitchen staff
- Develop original and creative recipes to enhance the menu offerings
- Guide kitchen staff on food prep, cooking techniques, plating, and final presentation to ensure high-quality dishes
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
- Handle preparation and cooking of meals and signature dishes
- Order food and kitchen supplies
- Oversee the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks and helpers, to ensure timely service
- Train new and existing staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
