Join Halton Healthcare's Maternal Newborn program as a Registered Nurse in Milton, offering temporary part-time care for mothers and their newborns. This role focuses on both obstetrical care and family support.
You will undertake Level 2A care for pregnancies 34 weeks and up, participating in vaginal and Caesarean deliveries. Your flexibility to work in various areas, including the operative suite, will be crucial. Expect to deliver essential services through assessments and triage while maintaining a friendly workplace for families during their healthcare journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct prenatal assessments and triages for mothers
• Assist in both vaginal and Caesarean births
• Actively support breastfeeding initiatives in recovery




• Engage families in the care process throughout the unit
• Perform IVs and venipuncture accurately
Requirements:
• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• At least 2 years of recent perinatal nursing experience
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Provider program
• Basic Life Support certification at time of hire
• Dedication to continuing education and Family Centred Care
