Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 40 to 55 hours per week Education: No degree, certificate or diploma Experience: Experience an asset Tasks Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products Professionalism in customer service Accept payment or invoices for items delivered Receive and relay information to central dispatch Keep a record of items received and delivered Load and unload goods Sort packages for delivery Follow directions and read map Use maps and other trip planning aids Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems Pay and receive payments for goods Provide customer service Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Address customers'' complaints or concerns Perform brake adjustments Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Documentation knowledge Trip reports Maintenance and repair reports Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
