Location: Various locations across Alberta
As a Nurse Educator, you will play a crucial role in the development and
delivery of educational programs for nursing staff, students, and healthcare
professionals. Your expertise will help enhance nursing practices, improve
patient care, and foster a culture of continuous learning within healthcare
setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and evaluate nursing
education programs, workshops, and training sessions that align with current
healthcare practices and standards.
- Provide engaging and effective instruction to
nursing staff, students, and other healthcare professionals, utilizing various
teaching methods and technologies.
- Evaluate the competencies and performance of
nursing staff and students through assessments, feedback, and practical
demonstrations.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for nurses,
providing guidance on clinical practices, professional development, and career
advancement.
- Work with healthcare leadership and
interdisciplinary teams to identify educational needs and develop strategies to
address gaps in knowledge and skills.
- Promote and integrate evidence-based practices
into educational programs,
encouraging a culture of research and innovation.
- Stay current with trends in nursing education,
healthcare regulations, and best practices to ensure that programs are relevant
and effective.
- Assist in the development and revision of
nursing policies and procedures to enhance educational standards and patient
care.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required;
Master’s degree in Nursing Education or related field preferred.
- Active nursing license in [insert relevant state
or region.
- Proven experience as a nurse educator or in a
related educational role, with a robust understanding of nursing practices and
education methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
to engage and motivate learners.
- Strong organizational skills to manage
educational programs and resources effectively.
- Ability to assess educational needs and develop
tailored programs to meet those needs.
- Certification in Nurse Education (CNE) or
similar credentials preferred.
