Job Description

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager for our DSW banner who will put their best foot forward. You will report to the Store Manager and assist in leading the store environment, fostering inclusivity and diverse customer connections. In this role, you will coach and lead the team to achieve store objectives, which includes in-store sales, web orders, goals, recruiting, performance management, training, and development. Your ability to problem‑solve, thrive in a quick‑paced environment, lead a dynamic team, collaborate, and execute on operational excellence will be key to your success.

Key Job Accountabilities

- Assumes leadership role with accountability for maximizing store business results by consistently creating exceptional customer experiences.
- Facilitates achievement of business results by role‑modeling a shopping experience that encourages uniquely responsive customer service, compelling merchandise presentation, and operational integrity that encourages positive customer connections and loyalty.
- Leads an operationally sound business by balancing company policies, procedures, shrink/loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and scheduling.
- Recruits, manages, develops, and trains top talent who have a love of shoes.
- Achieves company objectives and enhances the DSW brand image by modeling our values of passion, accountability, collaboration, and authenticity/humility.
- Develops and implements agile business plans to achieve results.
- Fosters teamwork, collaboration, and change advocacy within the store and district.
- Maintains effective, open lines of communication with the Store Manager.

Qualifications

- Proven success in the achievement of sales and profitability targets.
- Positive and energetic team player with strong leadership capability.




- Proven ability to motivate others.
- Proficiency in computer use, including e‑mail, MS Word or other word‑processing program, and Excel or other spreadsheet programs.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment while also being committed to creating a compelling customer experience.
- Ability to work days, closing shifts and weekends.

PAY: $20.69 – $23.00
