Business Systems Analyst - Canadian Bank, Wealth Digital & AI

S.i. Systems is supporting a major Canadian banking client's Wealth Digital portfolio across several concurrent initiatives, including a flagship program integrating Claude (Anthropic's AI platform) with internal systems. We're seeking a Business Systems Analyst to bridge business stakeholders, solution architects, and delivery teams 7 translating requirements for AI-enabled workflows into clear, actionable specifications, with a strong emphasis on API-level integration and authentication design.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements across multiple Wealth Digital workstreams, with a primary focus on the AI integration program.
- Act as the connective tissue between business stakeholders, solution architects, and project/delivery teams 4 ensuring requirements are accurately translated into technical designs.
- Analyze and document integration points between the AI tool (Claude) and internal banking systems, including data flows, system dependencies, and touchpoints.
- Partner with solution architects to understand and articulate API integration patterns 0— request/response structures, endpoints, payloads, and error handling.
- Document and support OAuth-related integration requirements, including authentication/authorization flows, token handling, scopes, and secure access patterns between systems.
- Facilitate working sessions and discovery with architecture, engineering, and business teams to surface integration risks, dependencies, and constraints early.
- Produce clear business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specs, process flows, and user stories that support Agile/hybrid delivery.
- Support UAT planning and execution, ensuring AI-related functionality is validated against business and compliance expectations.
- Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies across parallel Wealth Digital projects and escalate proactively.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst on enterprise technology programs, ideally within banking or financial services.
- Direct experience supporting the implementation and/or integration of an AI tool with internal enterprise systems (e.g., LLM platforms, GenAI copilots, intelligent automation tools).
- Strong working knowledge of APIs able to read/interpret API documentation, discuss integration design with architects, and translate technical constraints for business stakeholders.




- Solid understanding of OAuth and related authentication/authorization concepts (tokens, scopes, grant types, secure system-to-system access).
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate confidently across business, architecture, and delivery teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable producing polished documentation for both technical and executive audiences.
- Experience working in Agile/hybrid delivery environments (JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent).

Assets (Nice to Have)

- Prior experience in Banking or Wealth Management, particularly within a Wealth Digital, Wealth Management, or Investment Services technology setting.
- Familiarity with regulatory/compliance considerations relevant to AI adoption in financial services (e.g., model risk, data governance, OSFI guidance).
- Exposure to Anthropic Claude or comparable enterprise LLM platforms.
- Experience with system integration architecture, middleware, or API gateway concepts.
