Become an integral part of the emergency medical services team as an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP). You will assess patient needs and transport individuals in critical conditions effectively.
Your role as an ACP involves operating ambulances and providing advanced life support in high-pressure situations. You will evaluate emergency scenes, administer life-saving treatments, and lead the ALS efforts within your crew. The role is physically demanding and requires navigating challenging environments and adverse weather conditions while ensuring equipment readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate emergency scenes and provide rapid patient assessment
• Administer medications and advanced life support as needed
• Lead and coordinate ALS crew activities during transport




• Maintain and stock EMS vehicles thoroughly and efficiently
• Adapt to challenging environments and transport patients accordingly
Requirements:
• Non-restricted registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator License or equivalent
• Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation
• Ready to perform all operational duties upon start date
