Position: Manager in Training – Store Manager, The Shoe Co.

The Shoe Co. banner is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Manager in Training who will lead the store workplace toward operational excellence and inclusive customer service.

Responsibilities

- Commit to ongoing development, including flexibility to travel and/or relocate provincially for training or management opportunities.
- Assume a leadership role with accountability for maximizing store business results by consistently creating exceptional customer experiences.
- Facilitate achievement of business results by role‑modeling a shopping experience that encourages responsive customer service, compelling merchandise presentation, and operational integrity.
- Lead an operationally sound business by balancing company policies, procedures, shrink/loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and scheduling.
- Recruit, manage, develop, and train top talent who have a love of shoes.
- Achieve company objectives and enhance The Shoe Co. brand image by modeling values of Passion, Accountability, Collaboration, and Authenticity/ humility.
- Develop and implement agile business plans to achieve results.
- Foster teamwork, collaboration, and change advocacy within the store and district.
- Maintain effective, open lines of communication with Senior Operational Managers.

Qualifications

- Relevant post‑secondary education.




- Minimum 3 years of experience in a progressive retail supervisory role.
- Proven success in achieving sales and profitability targets in large volume, high‑traffic retail environments.
- Proven ability to motivate others.
- Proficiency in computer use, including e‑mail, MS Word or other word‑processing programs, and Excel or other spreadsheet programs.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment while also being committed to creating a compelling customer experience.
- Ability to work days, closing shifts, and weekends.
- Mobile within a geographic area.
- Ability to travel by air, car, train, etc., as required.

Pay: $19.60 to $21.78 per hour.
