FedEx is hiring a full time Courier based out of North Calgary, Alberta. This is a domicile position that starts and ends in Canmore. Starting wage: $23.30/hour.

The Courier is responsible for providing courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route, checking all shipments for conformance to Federal Express Canada features of service, and providing related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

- Pick up and deliver packages on an assigned route in a timely and courteous manner
- Inspect shipments to ensure conformance with Federal Express Canada features of service
- Provide customer service functions related to deliveries
- Handle packages safely, including lifting up to 70 lbs and manoeuvring items up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
- Manage time effectively to complete route within scheduled hours
- Adapt to varying schedules, including different shifts and holidays as required
- Operate in compliance with Canadian Customs regulations and company protocols

Requirements

- High school diploma or educational equivalent




- Valid driver's licence with a good driving record (two or fewer violations/accidents in the past 24 months)
- Ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
- One (1) year customer-oriented business experience preferred
- Must achieve minimum threshold on mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training
- Some knowledge of Federal Express Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations an asset
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, handle stress and work in a highly pressured environment
- Willingness to be flexible and work different schedules and holidays based on business needs

High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's licence with a good driving record; ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre up to 150 lbs; one year of customer-oriented business experience preferred.
