The City of Port Alberni is seeking a Planning Manager to report to the Director of Development Services. This leadership role encompasses overseeing planning staff, managing land use planning processes, and directing various planning projects. Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and direct planning staff activities
• Manage implementation of the Official Community Plan
• Process land use applications and reports
• Liaise with developers on land development processes
• Act as Deputy Approving Officer under the Land Title Act
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in planning
• Minimum eight years of planning experience
