Drive change in waste management as a Garbage/Recycling Truck Operator at Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc (TteS). This key role focuses on secure refuse removal and equipment maintenance.
You will work full-time under the Planning and Engineering department, ensuring efficient waste management for TteS residents. Applicants should ideally have a Grade 10 education and demonstrate basic mechanical abilities, making this an excellent opportunity for those eager to contribute positively to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate truck for community garbage and recycling collection
• Conduct pre-trip inspections for vehicle safety
• Maintain and assist in equipment repairs
• Interact courteously with Band members and public
• Assist in other public works activities as necessary
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 10 education or relevant experience
• Current Class 5 driver’s license and clean record
• WHMIS Training and Level One First Aid certificates
• Basic mechanical skills are preferred
• Capability to work independently and physically perform duties
