About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for Strategic Academic Initiatives. This senior leadership role is pivotal in driving the academic growth agenda, with a focus on transformative academic priorities, institutional partnerships, and initiatives that enhance student success and organizational impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, prioritization, and execution of new programs, shaping long-term program portfolio strategy, and ensuring institutional readiness for new offerings. This includes leading high-level academic operational process improvement projects,
working with internal and external stakeholders, and driving program operational innovation and change. The role demands a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong change leadership skills, and a proven track record in academic program development and leadership.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years' experience in academic program development, academic leadership, or related strategic roles in post-secondary education, with a Master's degree required and a Ph.D. preferred. They should have a proven ability to influence senior academic and operational stakeholders, experience in change management, and a strong background in market research and competitive analysis. The role also requires experience in launching various program formats and a deep understanding of the academic business processes. The candidate should be a cooperative leader, adept at building relationships, and have a strong commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the academic environment.
