Feed Mill Operator role at Chilliwack Mill, responsible for operating bulk receiving, mixing, pelleting, and shipping activities, ensuring uninterrupted production and meeting quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and identify areas to optimize performance.
- Ensure quality and food safety standards are met.
- Meet or exceed production targets, record data on production orders and activities.
- Execute small maintenance tasks and repair work on production equipment.
- Promote awareness of unsafe situations and take appropriate action.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years manufacturing experience (asset).
- Good computer skills.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Boiler certificate Class 5 preferred.
- Ability to work rotating shifts: 5:30AM–2:00PM, 1:30PM–10:00PM, 9:30PM–6:00AM.
- Willingness to work overtime.
- Capacity to lift 25kg regularly.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail in fast‑paced environment, team player, coachable.
- Exposure to elements, noise, dust, and work at heights.
- Basic computer skills with attention to detail and strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
