Support children and adolescents at Southlake Health as a Child and Youth Counsellor. This role focuses on behavioural counselling, group therapy, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a hybrid work workplace.
As a Child and Youth Counsellor, you will engage with patients and support networks in various mental health settings, including the Eating Disorder Program and crisis intervention. Your responsibilities will encompass assessment, treatment planning, and the implementation of safety plans. This position is integral to enhancing individuals’ mental health and wellbeing through a structured and supportive framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide behavioural counselling and group therapy for patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for treatment planning




• Conduct assessments and develop safety plans
• Demonstrate effective communication with families and professionals
• Lead initiatives in program development and execution
Requirements:
• Diploma or BA in Child & Youth Care
• Membership with Ontario Association of Child & Youth Workers
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Experience in mental health and crisis intervention
• 3-5 years relevant work experience
