Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 36 to 40 hours per week Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 to less than 7 months or equivalent experience Work site environment Outdoors Noisy Dusty Hot Work setting Urban area Rural area Construction site Tasks Load, unload and transport construction materials Clean and lubricate cranes Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs Pave and rake asphalt Clean and pile salvaged materials Perform routine maintenance work Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction Direct traffic at or near construction sites Work conditions and physical capabilities Physically demanding Repetitive tasks Weight handling Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
