The Coordinator, Health and Safety, supports sites and regional offices by ensuring compliance with corporate and industrial health and safety frameworks, and ensures that staff follow established health and safety policies and procedures.

The incumbent promotes and coordinates health and safety efforts with multiple stakeholders (e.g. construction coordinators), audits contractor health and safety plans, and investigates health and safety incidents. KEY AND PERIODIC ACTIVITIES The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative but not all-inclusive: Primary Act as a site resource on health and safety policy and legislation Promote and coordinate health and safety efforts with multiple stakeholders Update contract documents to include appropriate safety requirements Review contractor safety submissions Conduct safety inspections of project sites and complete monitoring documentation Collaborate and share best practices Prepare, coordinate and chair monthly staff safety meetings Support corporate health and safety requirements Develop and maintain effective relationships within DCC, and with industry, the Client-Partners and/or stakeholders Manage risk Other Act as a regional resource in support of health and safety management.

Investigate accidents and incidents, and meet all associated reporting requirements Maintain relationships with provincial and federal regulatory authorities Organize, present and/or participate in health and safety training and development Other duties as assigned SKILLS General and Specific Knowledge Best practices, methods, trends and legislation in health and safety Risk management principles Formal Education and/or Certification(s)



and Experience Minimum: college diploma in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene or related field with two years relevant experience, or the equivalent Preferred: related industry designation (e.g.
