Job Profile As the Body Repairer you will work under the supervision of the Vehicle Systems Supervisor and are responsible for performing damage and corrosion repairs to Transit buses and equipment, fabricating vehicle and equipment components and inspecting vehicle interior and exterior fittings and performing repairs as required.

As the Body Repairer you will: Repair and/or replace the following: vehicle (Bus) body parts and components, sheet metal and fiberglass panels, glass, such as windshields, passenger windows and mirrors.

Repair vehicle interior fittings such as passenger seat mounting frames, stanchions, flooring, etc.

Perform bench layout work for the manufacture of sheet metal vehicle and build components and parts.

Perform other related duties consistent with the classification, as required.

Your education and qualifications include:



High School graduate or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Journeyman Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Red Seal Certificate, recognized by the Province of Manitoba.

Minimum of three (3) years experience as a journeyman manufacturing/repairing/ modifying patch panels for vehicles and equipment.

Ability to work efficiently with a minimum of supervision. A clear understanding of safety practices relevant to the position Ability to operate the hand tools and equipment required to perform the work involved.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and employees at all levels of the organization.

Ability to adhere to the requirements of Respectful Workplace Standard.
