Water and Sewer Foreman (OUT OF TOWN WORK)

Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Water and Sewer Foreman to work on underground / water & sewer projects across Western Canada. Duties include (but are not limited to):

- Quality management – working with project management and survey / consultant teams to ensure that workmanship meets / exceeds specifications

- Health and safety management including hazard identification and analysis, worker competencies and HSE reporting

- Schedule management – ensure project timelines are maintained

- Provide supervision on site and daily direction to crew

- Delegation of tasks for all crew members

- Site maintenance – management of site housekeeping in accordance with client and company guidelines

- Lead inspections and incidents - address deficiencies / issues through corrective actions

- Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity

Required Skills:





- 3+ years of experience as an Underground Foreperson with sewer & water projects

- Underground utility rehabilitation / replacement experience is an asset

- Solid time management skills – able to keep crews to task and maintain an established work schedule to complete the projects in a timely fashion

- Organized and able to complete regular project documentation

- Able to work independently and follow instruction from the superintendent

- Able to support other positions as needed

- Strong communication skills – able to delegate and provide instructions clearly with sufficient detail

- Proven leadership capabilities and able to mentor workers for advancement

- First Aid and other certifications are considered assets

- Valid driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract

Required Certifications:

The following valid certifications are mandatory

- CSTS 2020

- WHMIS 2015

- Ground Disturbance Level 2

- Standard First Aid

- Leadership for Safety Excellence

- Confined Space Entry

- Fall Protection
