The Opportunity
The Personal Support Worker (PSW) is responsible for providing care to residents according to their care plans and assisting in the identification of resident needs. The PSW assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and other staff members.
What You Will Do
- Assist in monitoring care given to residents, ensuring it aligns with the established plan of care by observing residents and reporting findings to the immediate supervisor.
- Assist in documenting information pertaining to the care of residents as directed.
- Attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
- Assist in onboarding new staff as directed.
- Follow IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) policies and procedures.
What You Bring
- Graduate of a Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
- Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
- Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
- Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents, with an understanding of basic sanitation and cleaning techniques and needs of geriatric residents.

Salary
