Enrich young lives as an Outdoor Education Teacher at East Kensington Elementary in South Surrey. Immerse Grade 2/3 students in hands-on, outdoor learning experiences for their academic and personal growth.
This position targets passionate educators focusing on inquiry-based teaching within a rural setting. Engage students through exploration, play, and stewardship of natural surroundings. Your role will involve collaborating with colleagues, community organizations, and district staff while providing a curriculum that meets B.C. educational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver the full spectrum of B.C. curriculum outdoors
• Embed inquiry-based learning for student engagement
• Foster exploration and play in various ecological settings
• Promote advocacy and environmental stewardship
• Collaborate with fellow educators and community partners
Requirements:
• Bachelor of education degree in Elementary
• Valid B.C. Teacher's Certificate
• Minimum of two years' classroom experience
• Complete 3 courses in Outdoor Environmental Education
• Preferred: diploma or higher in Outdoor Environmental Education
