We are looking for an experienced Payments Business Analyst with solid domain expertise in Fed/CHIPS payments, ISO 20022, and SWIFT messaging standards. The candidate should have a deep understanding of end-to-end payment flows across domestic and international payment systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze business requirements across payment systems and translate them into functional specifications
- Work on Fedwire, CHIPS, and cross-border payment flows including SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 (MX) messages
- Define and document end-to-end payment lifecycle including initiation, validation, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation
- Collaborate with business, operations, and technology teams for system enhancements and regulatory changes
- Support payment modernization initiatives including migration from MT to MX formats
- Participate in UAT, defect triage, and production issue resolution
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Fedwire and CHIPS payments processing
- Hands-on knowledge of SWIFT MT (MT103, MT202, etc.) and ISO 20022 / MX messages
- Solid understanding of end-to-end payment flows (domestic & cross-border)
- Experience with payment hubs or core banking/payment platforms
Good to Have:
- Experience with RTGS systems and Immediate Payments (RTP, Faster Payments, etc.)
- Exposure to payment modernization / transformation programs
- Knowledge of platforms like ACI MTS, Finastra GPP, FIS, Fiserv or similar.
