Join our team as a Design Assistant focused on cabinetry and countertops, working closely with senior designers. This role emphasizes unique custom projects over mass production and offers potential growth towards a Senior Designer position.
As a Design Assistant, you will directly report to the General Manager and collaborate with teams across Operations, Installers, and Sales departments. Your responsibilities include initial consultations, assisting in design and pricing, and preparing project files.
You will also support the Senior Designer in client meetings and conduct site measurements to ensure project accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in qualifying clients during initial consultations
- Collaborate with senior designers for project estimates
- Design and price cabinetry and countertops per guidelines
- Conduct site measurements for accurate planning
- Provide reception coverage and support in designer absences
Requirements:
- Degree/diploma in interior design or architecture
- Experience with kitchen design and 2020 software is a plus
- Knowledge of building codes and compliance
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask across multiple projects
