Job Description Working closely with Product Management, Engineering, Research, and Design, this role shapes product strategy, influences key decisions, and delivers intuitive, impactful customer experiences.

The ideal candidate combines strong design craft, product thinking, storytelling, and cross-functional leadership to solve complex problems and drive customer impact at scale.

Responsibilities Design and deliver end to end Answer experiences from concept through launch.

Partner with PM, Engineering, and Research to shape product direction and user experience strategy.

Translate customer needs and business goals into clear, compelling product experiences.

Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished designs ready for implementation.

Drive experience quality through strong interaction design, systems thinking, and attention to detail.

Influence product decisions through customer advocacy, design expertise, and strategic thinking.

Present design rationale and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

Leverage customer insights, research, and product signals to continuously improve experiences.

Champion accessibility, usability, and inclusive design best practices.

Requirements Bachelors degree in design, HCI, Psychology, or related field, or equivalent experience. 57+ years designing consumer-facing digital products.

Experience driving product strategy and UX outcomes across cross-functional teams.

Strong product, interaction, and visual design skills.

Proven ability to design complex consumer products and end-to-end experiences.

Strong product judgment and ability to navigate ambiguity.

Excellent storytelling, communication,



and stakeholder influence skills.

Proficiency with Figma and modern design tools.

Experience partnering closely with Product Management, Engineering, and UX Research.

Robust collaboration skills with the ability to influence without authority.

Preferred Experience Familiarity with AI-powered products, search experiences, or information discovery experiences.

Experience with AI, search, or content-rich experiences.

The ideal resume would contain 57 years of Product Design experience, strong Information Architecture and Interaction Design skills, advanced Figma expertise, experience leveraging AI design tools, a data- and research-driven design approach, solid cross-functional collaboration, and experience partnering with globally distributed teams.

Exposure to Git

Hub, VSO, front-end development, and AI-enabled design workflows would be highly desirable.

Typical Day A typical day blends product strategy, design execution, and cross-functional collaboration.

The designer works closely with PMs, Engineers, Researchers, Content partners, and other designers to shape and evolve Answer experiences across Search Experiences, including Places, Maps, Entertainment, Geography, and other knowledge-rich experiences.

Activities may include: Reviewing customer insights, research findings, and product opportunities.

Partnering with PM and Engineering to define product direction and prioritize investments.

Designing end-to-end experiences, flows, interactions, and visual concepts in Figma.

Participating in product reviews, strategy discussions, and design critiques.

Vibe coding prototypes and storytelling artifacts to influence decisions and build alignment.

Collaborating across teams to ensure experiences are intuitive, cohesive, and high quality.





Advocating for customer needs while balancing business goals and technical constraints.
