We have a temporary full-time Yard Worker position available in a busy Auto Recycling facility located in Surrey, BC! The steel manufacturing facility converts recycled scrap metal into high-quality finished steel products, including reinforcing bar (rebar), wire rod, coiled bar, merchant bar, and other specialty products.

This role is well suited for individuals who thrive in an independent work environment and are able to remain focused and self-directed while efficiently completing assigned tasks.

Position Tile: Yard Worker + Forklift Temporary Full Time Location: Surrey, BC Schedule: Monday - Friday Shift Time: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Pay Rate: $21.00/H based on experience Transit accessible however 20-minute walk from Scott Road Station -vehicle preffered Forklift certification - Sit Down Counterbalance You can meet the shift and schedule requirements You are comfortable working in a physically demanding and outdoor environment Equipment On-Site: Shredder, forklifts, skid steers, loaders, scrap handlers, mobile and stationary shears, car crusher, rock trucks, vacuum truck You have Steel Toe Boots You are legally permitted to work Fulltime in British Columbia Advantages Hourly wage of $21.00/hourly Schedule: Monday-Friday Shift Time: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Located in Surrey (Close to Scott Road Station) Transit accessible; Location is a 20-minute walk from Scott Road Station. and maintaining an organized and safe working workplace in both the warehouse and yard Possibility of forklift operation - Sit Down Counterbalance Performing other duties as assigned Working independently as well as part of a team of approximately 710 employees Work will be performed both outdoors and indoors, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions Equipment on site includes shredders, forklifts, skid steers, loaders, scrap handlers, mobile and stationary shears, car crushers, rock trucks, vacuum trucks, and non-ferrous balers Lifting requirements: up to 40 lbs with occasional lifting This role is suited for hands-on, mechanically inclined individuals comfortable with physical work in an industrial environment Qualifications A minimum of one year of experience or exposure to the automotive industry is considered an asset Forklift certification - Sit Down Counterbalance At least one year of experience working in a warehouse or yard environment is an asset Demonstrates the ability to learn quickly; adaptable, reliable, and safety-conscious Maintains a positive attitude and is able to work effectively with minimal supervision Strong organizational, time management, and task-prioritization skills Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions You can lift up to 40 lbs occasionally, and work in various physical positions (e.g., bending, lifting, standing).
