Resort Department: Outdoor Operations Reportsto: Lift Maintenance Supervisor Employment Status/Type: Year-Round Full Time Compensation: $36-$40/hr-alongside furtherperksand benefits (wage currently under review) ________________________________________________________________________________________ JOB SYNOPSIS: Under the direction and supervision of the Lift Maintenance Supervisor,the Lift Maintenance Mechanicis responsible forassistingwith daily, weekly, and annual maintenance of all ropeways.

Performing functions with the utmost safety is crucial in this position and being a leader in safety is vital.

Currentday to dayoperations include4 fixed gripchairlifts and one handletow.

You will help supervise

Lift Operations.

Your primary goal will be to ensure that all Whitewater guests and staff have a safe and enjoyable experience.

The Lift Maintenance Mechanic''s primary role is to inspect,maintain,troubleshootand repair lift equipment as well as assist lift operations with thestartupandshutdownof the chair lifts.

The Lift Maintenance Mechanicis required toread diagrams,manufacturers''manuals, fit bearings, rebuild sheave trains, service grips and perform other mechanical procedures requiring specialized training.

They work at heights, in all weather conditions, at any time of the day or night. IMMEDIATE REPORTS: None SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Implementdaily,weeklyand annual lift maintenance.

Supervise the daily operations of the lifts while ensuring the safe and consistent operations for our guests.

Documentation and record keeping for asset maintenance and human resources.

Monitoring andmaintainingparts inventory.





Ensure all lifts aremaintainedin compliance with current CSA Z98 code, manufacturers recommendations and legislation and the BC Safety Act, as they relate to the current lifts and lift maintenance practices.

Adhering to all Ministries, Authorities and Codes havingjurisdiction.

Ensuring all safety procedures arebeingfollowedat all times.

Interact professionally with lift operations staff andassistwith the training of lift operators and lift mechanics personnel, whererequired.

Report and rectify any unsafe situations.

Ensure work area(s) are kept protected and clean, report any damage, malfunction, or misuse of any company equipment and/or property.

Training

Lift Operators.

Supervision of Lift Operators and Lift Mechanics when the supervisor is not available.

Assign duties to departmental personnel and ensure apprentices receive adequate training.

Ensure radio protocols are followed as per company policy.

Assistpatrol in any rope evacuation procedures.

Assistin anyemergencies.

Using a sustainable approach in daily operations, planning, and development.

Work toachieve department

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) toassistin achieving organizational goals.

Promote Whitewaters safety culture by reviewing and amending where necessary but not limited to: Department manuals, CDPP,



employee handbook.

Embrace and promote Whitewaters mission statement and values.

Maintain current knowledge of legal standardspertaining toequipment, safety regulations, and OHS practices.

Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION: Journeyman or 3rd year apprentice Millwright, Electrician or Heavy Duty Mechanicrequired.

Familiarity with the current WCB regulation, CSA Z98 code and the BC Safety Act and Elevating devices regulations.

Strong understanding of best maintenance practices for ski lifts. (Lift 151 surface lifts, Lift 152 fixed grip liftscoursesanasset).

Have a working knowledge of hydraulics, metal fabrication, and machining.

Have worked within the Resort industry an asset.

Ability tooperatesnowmobiles,ATVsand 44 trucks in a safe and responsible manner.

Required tools. SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong leadership, communication, management, administrative and personnel skills Must be a team player and able to work well with others whilemaintaininga calm& positiveattitude, sometimes during high stress.

Good physical condition.

Capable of performing manual labor,lifting upto 50 pounds, ability to lift heavy objects and frequently walking on uneven ground & comfortableworking at heights.

Advanced skiing or snowboarding ability.

Ability to work outside for extended periods in adverse weather conditions.

Must be willing to travel to themountainand work weekends and holidays asrequired.

Self-motivated, mature, dependable,timely,and able to work well with others.

Are proficient with Microsoft Office and other basic computer systems and applications.
