**What You'll Be Doing**
As a Journeyperson HVAC/R Service Technician, you will: Install, service, repair, overhaul, and maintain commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration equipment, identifying deficiencies and implementing effective repairs.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, technical documents, and specifications.

Review building codes and project requirements to ensure installations meet compliance standards.

Assemble and install complete HVAC and refrigeration systems, including piping, controls, and related components.

Assist with the design, layout, and installation planning of multi-head VRF systems.

Generate material take-offs and detailed parts lists from drawings and site requirements.

Start up and commission systems, perform testing, verify operational performance, and document results.

Test lines for leaks and perform system performance evaluations.

Complete service reports, work orders, and maintenance documentation accurately and professionally.

Mentor and support apprentices, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Communicate effectively with customers, tenants, project teams, and fellow technicians while working in occupied commercial buildings.

Follow all company safety procedures, industry regulations, and established best practices.
**What We're Looking For**
**Required Qualifications**
Red Seal Journeyperson Certification in Refrigeration, HVAC, or a related trade.

Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience.

Strong troubleshooting, repair, commissioning, and maintenance experience.

Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

Experience working on commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to travel to various job sites as required.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Leadership abilities with experience mentoring apprentices.

High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Reliable, professional, and safety-focused.
**Preferred Qualifications**
Gasfitter B Ticket.

Additional commercial HVAC service experience beyond the minimum requirement.

Experience in institutional, high-rise,



and commercial buildings.

Background working in occupied commercial environments.

Experience with VRF systems.

**Work Environment**
This position is entirely commercial and institutional focused.

There are no residential service calls.

You'll work in existing commercial buildings, offices, institutional facilities, and high-rise environments where professionalism and customer interaction are essential.

Most shifts begin between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM and are scheduled for eight hours per day.

Some after-hours work may be required to complete tenant improvement projects and minimize disruptions to building occupants.
