What Youll Do As a Security Officerat Kingsway Mall, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants, staff, and the public.
Your duties will include: Enforcing mall policies and municipal, provincial, and federal laws Working alongside EPS, EMS, and EFD Conducting lawful arrests under Section 494 of the Canadian Criminal Code and enforcing the Trespass to Property Act Responding to medical emergencies and providing first aid Managing conflict situations and applying approved use-of-force principles when necessary Training & Equipment Successful candidates will complete an intensive 3-week in-house training program before being assigned to independent duties.

One of the largest and busiest shopping centers in Edmonton High call volume environment providing unmatched hands-on experience Strong leadership and mentorship culture Exposure to real incident response, emergency management, and enforcement operations Career development opportunities within a high-performing team Job Requirements: Security license is required Have High School Diploma or Equivilant Security experience is highly preferred Class 5 Advanced or higher license is required (Class 7 or Class 5 GDL not accepted) Must be legally eligible to work in Canada Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent customer service skills Solid observational skills Ability to make immediate decisions while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision Ability to walk 18/20km and stairs, standing and patrolling for long periods of time.
