What You'll Do
- Perform high-precision construction layout and as-built surveys
- Work independently or alongside a Survey Assistant to complete daily survey activities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Trimble survey equipment, GNSS, RTK, and related technology
- Interpret engineering drawings and construction plans to ensure accurate project layout
- Prepare detailed field notes, survey reports, and project documentation
- Maintain clear communication with office staff, project managers, and client representatives
- Apply Apex's QA/QC standards to ensure accurate and reliable survey data
- Mentor junior survey staff and promote best practices in the field
- Represent Apex professionally while building strong relationships with clients and project teams
- Follow all company and site-specific health and safety requirements
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 3 years of industrial construction surveying experience
- Experience operating Trimble Robotic Total Stations, GNSS, RTK, and related survey software
- Strong understanding of construction layout, as-built surveys, and QA/QC procedures
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience is considered an asset
