Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure timely dish delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Support the culinary team during busy service periods by bussing tables and clearing used dishes from dining areas
- Ensure food safety standards are consistently met by adhering to proper food handling procedures and hygiene practices
- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels
- Assist in setting up banquet or event spaces with appropriate food items and serving utensils as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow all health and safety regulations to create a safe environment for staff and guests
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Hands-on kitchen experience including food preparation, cooking, or banquet service is advantageous
- Strong understanding of food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team and assist guests when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail
- Customer service mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience with bussing, serving, or hotel hospitality is a plus but not required
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques or previous culinary training is beneficial
