Job Description:

We are looking for an EMR and Data Systems Specialist to support clinical data systems and strengthen reporting capabilities for healthcare operations near Barrie, Ontario. This role focuses on maintaining electronic medical record platforms, improving data quality, and helping staff use digital tools effectively. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with strong communication skills to deliver reliable system support, meaningful insights, and practical guidance across teams.

Responsibilities:

- Administer and optimize electronic medical record and data platforms to support accurate, productive day-to-day clinical and operational workflows.

- Create, maintain, and refine queries, dashboards, and reports that provide clear, actionable information for stakeholders across the organization.

- Troubleshoot system issues and deliver responsive technical assistance to staff using EMR applications and related digital health tools.

- Monitor data integrity by identifying inconsistencies, investigating root causes, and applying corrective actions to improve overall data quality.

- Configure and support Telus PS Suite and associated system features to align with operational requirements and user needs.

- Prepare presentations, reference materials, and user guides that help staff understand reports, system functions, and best practices for data use.





- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather reporting requirements, explain technical concepts clearly, and support informed decision-making.

- Contribute to the ongoing use and support of digital health solutions such as online booking, eReferral, electronic forms, and other connected platforms.

Requirements:

- Post-secondary education in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Management, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in a healthcare, health information, or data-centred environment with hands-on involvement in reporting and system support.
- Demonstrated expertise working with electronic medical record systems, including configuration, administration, and user support; Telus PS Suite experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in report development and query tools, along with strong capability in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Solid understanding of privacy legislation, health information governance, and responsible handling of confidential data, including familiarity with MFIPPA.
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to detect, assess, and resolve data issues effectively.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
