Aluminium Inc. is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the President, the Financial Controller will provide strategic financial leadership while overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and selected administrative functions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the organization's continued growth by delivering sound financial analysis, improving business processes, and ensuring the integrity of financial operations. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Accounting • Lead the Company's financial reporting and accounting functions. • Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department. • Present financial and budget performance analyses by distribution centre, providing recommendations to improve profitability. • Monitor financial commitments and banking obligations. • Support cost accounting activities, including product costing and sales pricing analysis. Financial Planning & Management • Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor financial performance against budget. • Prepare and manage cash flow forecasts. • Oversee the monthly accounting close process. • Collaborate with ownership to strengthen internal controls and financial governance. • Respond to inquiries and reporting requirements from government authorities and regulatory agencies. Leadership & Business Support • Lead, coach, and develop the accounting and finance team. • Participate in purchasing activities, supplier negotiations, and risk management initiatives related to aluminum procurement and foreign exchange. • Develop management reports, financial dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs). • Support strategic initiatives, including ERP implementation, research and development (R&D;) projects, government grant programs, and employee training initiatives. ________________________________________ Qualifications Education • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline. • An equivalent combination of education, professional experience, and demonstrated competencies will also be considered. • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
designation is considered a strong asset. • Master of Business Administration (MBA) is considered an asset.
