We are looking for an Intellectual Property Paralegal to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Opening, preparing and filing patent applications within Canada, the United States and internationally.
- Preparing and forwarding correspondence
- Frequent communication with clients
- Regularly updating patent database
- Keeping a close eye on client files and managing deadlines
- Performing research related to patent matters
- Other related tasks





REQUIREMENTS

- College degree in paralegal studies or equivalent training or experience
- Strong computer skills, good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Minimum one year of relevant experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (French and English)
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Ability to manage priorities in an organized manner
- Capable of providing professional responses in a timely fashion to internal and external clients
- Respectful, accountable and good work ethic
- Able to work with little supervision as well as part of a team
- Able to work under pressure
