Driver – Roll-Off (Full-Time)
We're looking for reliable, safety-focused Roll-Off Drivers to join our growing team. If you enjoy working independently, providing excellent customer service, and operating commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, we'd love to hear from you.
Available Shifts
Shift #1
- Tuesday to Saturday
- 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM
Shift #2
- Sunday to Thursday
- 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM
Compensation
- Starting wage: $25- $30 per hour
- Overtime opportunities available
Key Responsibilities
As a Roll-Off Driver, you will:
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and complete Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
- Safely prepare, load, transport, and unload large open-top waste and compactor containers using a company-owned roll-off truck.
- Operate commercial vehicles in accordance with company policies, Ministry of Transportation regulations, Occupational Health & Safety requirements, and all applicable municipal, provincial, and federal laws.
- Clean loose debris from the truck, container, and surrounding customer sites following dumping operations.
- Explicit waste from the packer blade and truck body at landfill and transfer stations to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation.
- Work closely with Dispatch and the Route Supervisor to improve route efficiency, provide exceptional customer service, and identify safety or operational improvements.
- Use the FleetMind onboard electronic ticketing system to manage daily workflow, record completed work, and report service interruptions.
- Immediately report any accidents, incidents, injuries, equipment damage, or property damage to the Route Supervisor.
- Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers, coworkers, and the public.
- Complete and submit all required daily route, productivity, and vehicle inspection documentation.
- Participate in required training sessions, safety meetings, and team briefings.
- Assist other drivers and perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Class D Ontario driver's licence with Z air brake endorsement required (AZ licence is considered an asset).
- Must have experience operating a manual transmission commercial truck.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
- Must be insurable to operate a commercial vehicle.
- Clean CVOR/DVOR driver abstract with a safe driving record over the past 24 months.
- Highly skilled in maneuvering and backing commercial vehicles in tight spaces.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety and exceeding customer expectations.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend daily work assignments and accurately complete required reports.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work the assigned afternoon shift schedule.
