Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Truss Builder to join our team. As a Truss Builder, you will be responsible for constructing various types of trusses according to blueprints and specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry techniques, excellent mathematical skills, and the ability to work in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine truss specifications.
- Measure and cut lumber to precise dimensions using hand and power tools.
- Assemble truss components according to layout and assembly diagrams.
- Ensure that all trusses meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Truss Builder or similar role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations accurately.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or training in carpentry or a related field.
- Experience operating woodworking machinery.
