Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer specializing in Manufacturing and Mechanical Equipment. In this vital role, you will manage procurement activities, source reliable vendors, negotiate pricing, and oversee the supply chain process to ensure seamless production operations. Your expertise will help optimize costs, improve supplier relationships, and support our manufacturing excellence.

Duties

- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for mechanical equipment and manufacturing materials to meet production requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships through effective communication, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize ERP systems such as SAP to process purchase orders, track inventory levels, and monitor procurement activities within the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) framework.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contractual agreements with suppliers to secure the best value for the company.




- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely procurement aligned with production schedules and supply chain demands.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and stay updated on industry trends related to manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, evaluate supplier performance, and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Skills

- Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and other supply chain management tools.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical equipment sourcing, and procurement best practices.
- Proven experience in vendor management, negotiation strategies, and pricing optimization.
- Familiarity with MRP systems for inventory control and demand planning.
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement across departments.
- Ability to analyze market data and develop strategic sourcing plans.
- Demonstrated capability in supply chain coordination to ensure smooth procurement operations.
