About the Role

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Shipper & Receiver to manage the flow of materials in and out of our manufacturing facility. You will handle everything from receiving raw steel and aluminum stock to packaging and shipping finished precision tools to customers across North America and internationally. This is a hands-on role that directly impacts our ability to keep production running and customers satisfied.

What You'll Do

Receiving & Inspection

- Receive incoming shipments of raw materials (aluminum billet, nickel chromoly steel, hardware, packaging supplies) and verify against purchase orders and packing slips
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report issues to the Operations Manager
- Route materials to appropriate storage areas or directly to the production floor as needed

Shipping & Order Fulfillment

- Pick, pack, and prepare finished tools for shipment, ensuring products are properly protected for transit — including heavy/oversized items such as piercing tools and hydraulic equipment
- Prepare all shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, commercial invoices,



and customs forms for international orders
- Coordinate with freight carriers, couriers, and LTL providers to schedule pickups and arrange cost-effective shipping methods
- Ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time

Warehouse & Inventory

- Maintain the shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition
- Update inventory records in the company's system upon receipt and shipment of goods
- Assist with cycle counts, periodic inventory audits, and stock level monitoring
- Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck safely and in compliance with OHSA requirements

What You Bring

Required:

- 1–3 years of experience in a shipping and receiving role in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience preparing shipping documents including bills of lading, customs declarations, and commercial invoices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and handle heavy/oversized items with appropriate equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- WHMIS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)

Preferred:

- Forklift certification (counterbalance); required within 90 days of hire if not currently certified
- Experience with international shipping documentation and customs procedures




- Familiarity with ERP or inventory management software
- Experience in a CNC machining or precision manufacturing setting
